Supreme Court unveils ‘Su-Sahayak’ to make court services more accessible, seamless, and citizen-friendly online

The launch of ‘Su-Sahayak’ by the Supreme Court of India marks another significant milestone in India’s rapidly evolving judicial digitization ecosystem, strengthening technology-driven access to justice by enabling litigants, lawyers, citizens, and legal professionals to seamlessly access critical Supreme Court e-services, case status information, cause lists, orders, judgments, RTI services, certified copy requests, virtual hearing guidance, and court-related FAQs through an interactive AI-powered virtual assistance platform developed in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre.

Integrated directly into the Supreme Court website through an intuitive chat-based interface, ‘Su-Sahayak’ simplifies procedural navigation by allowing users to retrieve real-time case information using multiple search parameters including diary number, case number, party name, CNR number, and connected High Court or District Court matter details, while also providing guided assistance for accessing digital judicial services, downloadable judgments, online appearance facilities, Advocates-on-Record guidelines, hybrid hearing procedures, and court fee related information, thereby improving transparency, accessibility, efficiency, and citizen engagement within the Indian legal system.

The introduction of ‘Su-Sahayak’ also reflects the broader transformation initiated through Supreme Court technology initiatives such as the SUPACE AI research project and the #SUVAS (Supreme Court Vidhik Anuvaad Software), which has already played a crucial role in enabling AI-assisted legal translation of judicial documents across Indian languages, helping bridge language barriers in courts and improving multilingual legal accessibility for millions of citizens across India.
