Typing (OCR)

Typing uses AI OCR to read a scanned PDF or photo and produce a clean, editable Word document in the same language — no translation. It is ideal for old records, printed forms, and image-only PDFs you need as editable text. Start from the upload page.

Typing keeps the document in its original language and just makes it editable. [Translation](/translate) converts it into another language. If you need both, type it first, then translate the result.

Typing is 25 credits per page for any language. Rates can change — the pricing page shows current prices in your local currency.

PDFs and images (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP), up to 50 MB per file. The output is a formatted Word (.docx) file you can download and edit. If a PDF is too large, shrink it first with the free Compress PDF tool.
